YANO Brewery

We are a small sake brewery located in Kashima City in the southwestern part of Saga Prefecture.
We are the brewer of the Japanese sake brands “Takeno-sono” and “Hizen-kura-shin”.

We brew sake that is not showy, cool, and has a gentle flavor that goes well with food and brings richness to everyone.

Through sake, we hope to help people connect with each other
and create harmony.

Founded in 1796, we have been brewing sake for over 220 years.
Although we are a small brewery with a production and sales volume of around 600 koku, the 8th generation head brewer, Yoshinori Yano, has re-examined our production methods, adopted a quality-focused approach, and, working alongside the head brewer Nakamura, has made great efforts to improve the quality of our sake. As a result, our sake has improved dramatically and we have continued to win prizes at sake tasting competitions and contests throughout the country.

Since 2008, the 9th generation, Motohide Yano, has also been working in the brewery, continuing to evolve while taking on new challenges.
Since 2018, the 9th generation, Motohide Yano, has been working even harder as the chief brewer. The Hizen Kuramoto Junmai Daiginjo Gonemon, which uses the high-quality water from the Taradake mountain range and Yamadanishiki rice grown by dedicated local farmers, is a masterpiece.
Today, the brewery uses a wide variety of carefully selected sake rice from all over the country, and its lineup is also expanding.
