IDE Brewery
In the first year of the Meiji era, Yoshi Taro Ide, while devoting himself to research into tea production and overseas exports, etc., is said to have started a sake brewery using the clear water of the Ureshinogawa River, and the first generation of the brewery was named “Torahawa” (Tiger's Child) in the hope that the sake would be loved and drunk for a long time, just like a tiger's child, with the deep affection of a tiger for its young.
And like a tiger that runs for a thousand miles, I want its name to be widely known.
Ureshino is located in the southwestern part of Saga Prefecture, which is in the north of Kyushu, with the Genkai Sea to the north and the Ariake Sea to the south, and borders Fukuoka Prefecture to the east and Nagasaki Prefecture to the west. Ureshino is famous for its tea and hot springs (three of Japan's best hot springs for beautiful skin).
The sake brewery, which still retains some of its original appearance, has a cool and relaxed atmosphere.
It is located in the middle of the hot spring resort town, and the whole town, together with the atmosphere of the hot spring steam, has helped to nurture Toranoko.
